Alliance Expo was successfully held.
On November 26,2024,the 19th World International Freight Forwarding Alliance Expo (abbreviated as the "WIFFA EXPO") was grandly held in the beautiful city of Ningbo. The Expo was co-hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing,China Shipowners' Association,China Local Railway Association and ShippingChina. During the International Cargo Fair, the Symposium on the Innovation and Matchmaking of the Cooperation Model of the Industrial Chain and Supply Chain in Yunnan Province, as well as the "Liulianhui" and Lancang-Mekong Economic and Trade Cooperation Discussion Meeting, co-hosted by the Lancang-Mekong Sub-region Economic and Trade Development Center of the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province and the International Freight Forwarding Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, was successfully held in Conference Room 208 of the Conference Building of the Ningbo Convention and Exhibition Center from 14:30 to 15:00 on November 27. More than 40 leaders from governments, business associations and entrepreneurs from Beijing, Shanghai, Yunnan, Ningbo, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Fujian and other places participated in the exchanges.
Liu Jie, Deputy Director of the Lancang-Mekong Sub-region Economic and Trade Development Center of the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Secretariat of the Lancang-Mekong Cross-border Economic Cooperation, as well as Kang Shuchun, President of the International Freight Forwarding Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and CEO of the ShippingChina, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

This forum is a public welfare activity in which mainstream supply chain think tanks and association organizations in Zhejiang Province jointly promote the concept of supply chain management and popularize professional knowledge of supply chain. With the theme of "Talent Linkage • Creating the Future Together", it aims to analyze the latest trends and policy orientations of the supply chain, share practical cases, explore cutting-edge issues such as industrial belts going global and logistics chains providing escort, as well as new models for cultivating supply chain talents. It is also a beneficial attempt to link the operational thinking of the supply chain in the field of international freight.
It will accumulate experience and resources for providing services such as supply chain project consultation, talent cultivation and international qualification examinations to continue to join hands with the "Cargo Expo" next year and help the development of the international freight industry.
During the same period of the 2024 International Cargo Expo, the WIFFA Railway Joint Service Center held a roundtable meeting on "How Freight Forwarders Can Do Well in Central Asian Business and the Central Route Business of China-Europe Railway Express". This meeting not only brought together many industry experts but also delved deeply into the latest trends and challenges in the current international freight market, especially the business development strategies for the Central Asian region and the central route of the China-Europe Railway Express.
At the meeting, members of the Railway Joint Service Center actively shared the latest situations and dynamic information from multiple key ports such as Khorgos, Shenyang, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Qingdao, Yunnan, and Kazakhstan. This information covered various aspects including the operation status of the ports, policy changes, and improvement of logistics efficiency, providing valuable first-hand materials for the participants.
It is particularly worth mentioning that the meeting also analyzed in detail the operation of the China-Europe and China-Russia Railway Express since 2024. According to statistics, as of the time when the meeting was held, the cumulative number of departures of the China-Europe and China-Russia Railway Express had exceeded 5,450. This figure not only demonstrated the important position of the China-Europe Railway Express in international freight but also reflected the increasingly close trade exchanges between China and other countries.
In terms of the departure points and quantities of the railway express, the meeting pointed out that the total volume of railway express departures in the Sichuan-Chongqing region (Sichuan and Chongqing) had been close to that of Xi'an, showing the strong growth momentum of these two regions in the China-Europe Railway Express business. This trend not only helps to enhance the level of opening up in the western region but also provides more opportunities for local enterprises to expand into the international market.
In addition, the meeting emphasized the important position of Kazakhstan and also had in-depth discussions on how freight forwarding enterprises can better adapt to market changes, improve service quality, and strengthen communication and cooperation with international partners. The participants unanimously believed that in the face of the increasingly fierce competition in the international freight market, freight forwarding enterprises need to continuously innovate service models, optimize logistics networks, and improve operational efficiency to better meet customer needs and promote the sustainable development of their businesses.

During the same period of the 2024 International Cargo Expo, the WIFFA Cold Chain Alliance Service Center held a roundtable symposium with the theme of "National Port Resources Matchmaking Meeting for the Transportation, Customs Clearance, Warehousing and Distribution of Cold Chain Products". This meeting aimed to promote exchanges and cooperation among enterprises in the cold chain industry and jointly explore new paths for the development of the cold chain industry.

During the same period of the 19th China International Freight Industry Chain Expo (WIFFA Two Conferences) in 2024, the "Forum on the Cooperative Development of Business between Asia and the Americas" was successfully held. As an important part of the International Cargo Expo, this forum attracted elites from many enterprises and industry experts from Asia and the Americas to participate.
The forum was co-hosted by Polly Wang, the General Manager of Kangshun Logistics, and Rachel Wu, the General Manager of FCA. The two hosts pointed out that under the current global economic pattern, Asia and the Americas, as two major economic entities, have seen increasingly close trade cooperation between them, but they also face numerous challenges and opportunities. The purpose of this forum is to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation, promote in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the field of freight logistics, and jointly respond to global economic challenges. Meanwhile, agents from different countries in the Americas respectively gave detailed introductions about the market conditions, trade policies of their respective countries and the cooperation prospects with Asia.
